Scale up for hydrogenations

Fluitec and ZHAW (Zurich University of Applied Sciences) were granted an Innosuisse Innovation cheque to investigate Fluitec Contiplant fixed bed reactors for hydrogenations. We will establish the fundamentals for a direct scale-up, ensuring consistent mass and heat transfer at lab and pilot scale.

Dynamic cascade reactor (DCR)

A scientific publication on the dynamic cascade reactor was published as part of the Innosuisse project with the University of Applied Sciences Freiburg (HEIA-FR).

Multipurpose Rack

With a Contiplant rack with three reactors, 95% of all chemical reactions can be carried out in flow:

  • Flow calorimeter: fast / exothermic reactions
  • Static mixer / fixed bed reactor: multiphase systems, catalytic processes
  • Dynamic cascade reactor (DCR): reaction media with solids content
